Juan Soler letter : Monterey, to Fernando de Rivera y Moncada : ALS, 1774 Dec. 23.

Letter concerns provisions received from Don Pedro Fajes, who has helped provision the Presidio at Monterey, Calif., petitioning the viceroy to have the accompanying itemized list valued. He explains that delays in obtaining provisions in the usual way have necessitated turning to local merchants. The letter and list are each followed by an autograph postscript, signed by Rivera y Moncada, ordering them to be sent to Mexico.
